smile for “Rolling Stones”

The morning was spent in Rosemarkie and Fortose, just having a potter about. I’m loving the lighthouses in Scotland.

Route 1 takes you up a very large hill but it is so beautiful… there was literally nobody around for hours. It reminded me of Scandinavia – the pines and hills etc’ following the uphill was the downhill bit which lasted pretty much right the way into Cromarty. Had bacon butty and cuppa there and then caught the ferry over to Nigg. The ferry driver man was a happy fella and when I took his pictures he said he was going to tell his daughter I was from Rolling Stones Magazine – that I was taking his picture for the new edition. Told me to keep smiling like that.

Cycled up to Portmahomack (a small little fishing town) and then over to Tain. Met a wonderful couple from the States who made me feel very welcome in Tain.
