feels like riding in heaven

This was of the nicest couple of days ever since getting to Sweden. I was cycling down the east coast from around Ahus south. If you are looking to go cycling with little effort and amazing places to picnic and take lazy afternoon naps on the beach, then this is the place for you. The towns and villages you come across are so pretty and quaint and the beach is right next to you, on the left (…or right, depending on your route direction). Oh yeahh, this is now part of the Baltic Sea Cycle Route and to be honest there seems to be many many people doing this in comparison to the North Sea Cycle Route. There is mostly always a designated cycle pathway for cyclists and many campsites to stay at and tonnes of ice-cream parlours!!! It is an absolute delight to ride and everyone says hello – something that sort of stopped I noticed once leaving the UK.

The terrain takes you through forest paths, on the side of beach tracks and sometimes back onto the coastal roads. The houses are small around there and they are all built down small track roads that lead onto the beach – am unsure whether there are holiday homes?

I came across a small fruit and veg stand – and oh boy it all smelt sooo good and FRESHHHH. We have something similar in the UK – selling jam and eggs outside farmers houses and they donate into an honesty box. I love this.

With the sun drenching everything it would see, I cycled with my face high in the sky soaking it all up (sunscreen applied as always). The farmers were spraying their crops with water to try to drench them back to health – it was kind of nice cycling past the fields as some of the spray would wet you and cool you down.
