Now im not one that looks particularly great in lycra but I had endured it so far on the bike tour. Pulling and tugging at it to get it on after taking a shower – feels like im putting on a wetsuit and then the heat has caused some reaction with my skin and elastane, so my legs bubble with rashes that take an eternity to calm down and then hell if a mosquito gets under and in there, well there is no going back and you are bitten everywhere and anywhere. All in all, I was done. So today…I ditched the lycra (but the ever essential padded shorts will stay with me) I bought a really loose t-shirt and some loose shorts and the wind blew with kindness through me – into my arms and up around my back and neck, it wrapped its way around my body and cloaked me in cool stuff – it was great – why hadn’t I done this sooner?
