funny canoe and funny bike

After the day up in North Ronaldsay I wished to spend more time on the Orknies as it was such a pretty day. The evening was made better by seeing a friend made in Stromness the previous evening. Francois was a canoeist from Paris – he had this fold away device canoe that was so impressive – folded up dead small into a bag. We had an evening meal together with another cyclist from Scotland – now he had an odd bike…his bike had gears positioned on the frame and they didn’t click – he had to adjust and feel to change gear – like a car I guess. I had a ride on it – was too complicated for me to figure out.
