my book in norway

Have been reading a very good book whilst in Norway called the ‘Mornings in Jenin’. It got me sucked in so much that even when I ride I think about it. The book is not something that will make you laugh but it will grab your emotions and grant a place in your heart to remember forever. It tells the story of a Palestinian family through the period of the Israeli uprising. I feel the time spent in Israel I never really had an educated understanding of what really happened in the wars – we had been toured around and always heard it from the Jewish side, so the book was a real eye-opener, yet deeply deeply sad. Jerusalem, is talked about often in the book and I can’t explain why, but like described in the book for some reason this city gets you (im of no religious way) but the streets and walls are kind of very enchanting and quite ghostly – you know they hold so sooo much history and turbulence and it sort of feels like it escapes and soaks into part of you. A very special place…. also worth mentioning that it also makes the best hummus and falafel ever!
