I had decided to move away from the coastal route since the day I spent in Stavanger to explore abit more of what Norway is famous for and from the 2 hikes I had walked I knew i had made the right decision. After the Kjerag day I left early to take on the “27 hair-pin bends” from the bottom of Lysebotn – the weather was cool and, once at the top, I did feel a great sense of satisfaction after climbing the 1000m in a very short space of time.
One thing I have noticed – when a Norwegian tells you there is a big hill to climb – it means it is literally going to kill you getting up it. These road signs either represent the pit of your stomach turning sick or one big smile spreading right across your face (depending on which way your bike is heading).

Once ontop of the moutains – wait, should I be calling them fjords? well once on the top you could see for miles and miles but hell it was windy. It was one of the most incrediable sights I have seen in my life – so much stuff to see, my eyes were in overload. I dont believe these pictures can represent the experience, but it was just amazing.
